Vin Shambry
Vin Shambry brings a wealth of experience and artistic excellence to Acting for Kids & Teens. Having spent seven years on Broadway as Tom Collins in “Rent,” Vin is not only an accomplished actor but also an executive producer, artistic director, published writer, and painter. His storytelling prowess has earned him acclaim both locally and internationally.
A Portland native, Vin has traveled the world, sharing his art and stories. He recently wrapped filming “Outdoor School,” a feature film inspired by his own experiences growing up in Portland and dealing with housing insecurity. This story is also featured in “Occasional Magic,” a New York Times Best Seller. Vin’s forthcoming projects include a film debuting at Sundance, among many other impressive credits.
Vin has performed globally, including touring Egypt as part of the US State Department’s Arts Envoy program. His dedication to community building is evident in his commitment to creating safe, empowering spaces for Black artists in Portland.
