Ongoing Acting Classes:
On-Line & In Studio

AFKT Coaches are active in the film community with TV and Film credits  Our Portland Ongoing Acting Workshops and Drama Classes offer students an opportunity to learn acting, to be creative, build confidence and express themselves.  They also learn about the business of acting in TV and Film.  Everyone is welcome!

At AFKT we teach acting for TV & Film specifically.  In class we focus on:

  • Scene Study
  • On Camera Auditioning
  • Training in MeisnerSuzuki, Sense Memory, and Improv techniques.
  • Professional development skills such as on-set etiquette, presenting headshots and resumes
  • Opportunities to perform in our exclusive Industry Showcase events.
  • Students get opportunities to hear guest speakers, actors, directors, producers and agents both locally and from around the country.
  • Tour local casting offices, live sets and production studios, and attend special industry events!

Classes meet weekly. Registration for our on-going classes is open and on-going. Classes are $225 per month, and tuition is auto-processed on the 1st, much like a gym membership.

Great staff, amazing school!

I have been training at AFKT for about 4 years now and I have learned so many amazing things and had so many amazing opportunities. Katie and all of the coaches are so caring and take the time to learn what each individual needs to grow as an actor. The environment is so welcoming, from the moment I joined I felt a strong sense of belonging. I am endlessly thankful for Coach Katie and the other amazing coaches, as well as the staff and all of the people I have met a long the way. AFKT doesn't only teach acting, but provides a safe space for artists to feel free and encouraged to create.

Katie O'Grady is the kid whisperer! So much respect for this group of adults that believe in the young actors of the NW. My son Riley has developed as an actor and young man with the help of AFK.
